Located in the small town of Collbran, Colorado, BaseCamp is centrally located to the Grand Mesa (12-22 miles), Powderhorn Ski Resort (20 miles), and Vega State Park (10 miles). We built the vacation home with practical, outdoor enthusiasts in mind; it’s small and simple but rustic and cozy. Just off Highway 330, BaseCamp is a convenient starting point for all of your outdoor activities. The 800 sq. ft. building sits beside Plateau Creek, where you can fish, wade, or watch the wildlife.
The old cinder block building has a long history of uses before it was remodeled to a vacation rental in January 2021. The larger bedroom features a queen-size bed, the smaller bedroom a twin-size bunk bed, and the living room a double-size futon couch. BaseCamp can accommodate six people total. We’ve stocked the kitchen with everything you need including a few basic staple items like coffee and tea, flour and sugar. BaseCamp has free wi-fi, Roku TV, and the capability for online movie streaming. It's comfortable and peaceful, and we work hard to keep it clean, but please note that bugs (mostly cedar) do sometimes find their way in.
Rates
Range from $85 - $115 per night for four guests. Additional guests, up to 6, are $10 per night.
The basic cleaning fee is $50 for two hours of cleaning. If excessive cleaning time is needed for a dirty kitchen, excessive laundry, trash thrown outside, etc., $50 per hour will be charged.

We work full time and we don't live on site, so we won't disturb you during your stay. You can reach us by phone, text, or email. Grandma and Grandpa live next door, so we ask that you do not bring your pets, more than three vehicles, or disturb them. We do not provide daily maid service, but extra linens are provided for your convenience. Most Collbran businesses close by 8 pm, so if you arrive late, please bring necessary food and supplies with you.
